Factions char in Tyria doing missions... - Guild Wars Forums

I took my lvl 15 Rit char to LA, and then made my way backwards to Ascalon. I did the Grt Northern Wall mission and bonus, but received no mission or bonus points.
Is this normal, and if so , why ?

normal as you dont get credit for missions before lions arch.

you can do the missions for fun/explorer title/loot but that is it

after lions you get credit

Yep, I think that's because you're not really supposed to do those, but I wouldn't know because I don't have any factions characters. Prophecies characters don't get credit for missions on Shing Jea Island either.

Think of Factions and Prophecies as happening at the same time in the Guild Wars world. You're not from Acalon so you're not with the party as it travels over the Shiverpeaks, your character only learns of them once Mhenlo reaches Lion's Arch and learns of the issues in Cantha, at which point he comes to Cantha, bringing his friends from Tyria (Eve, Devona, etc). They clean up the mess in Cantha and then go back to Tyria to put some hurt on the Mantle

you will need to do them if you want to get protector title but...

yep, they are good for titles and loot only....my rit is doing them so she can get more stuff to sell and try to get protector.....my canthan monk couldnt care less......
